Most designers I know love black and white images. I think it is because it reduces the image down to its bare essentials and keeps you focused on the content and composition of the image. Don’t get me wrong, I love color, but we are bombarded with so much imagery every day, that it’s refreshing to see a black and white image.
The attached images were shot with my iPhone and then converted to black and white using the Photoshop Express application. -PK
